Bertha Hotel in the triangle of tourism

The Bertha hotel is located in the triangle of tourism in Paris. Just between the Champs Elysées, close to Montmartre and the famous district of Pigalle and the famous Opera Garnier, the hotel is ideally situated.
A historical site

"The Hotel de la Bertha" since 1845
During the First World War (1914-1918), a German shell named "Bertha" falls on the so-called "house of aliens", inherited from the place its name: "Hotel of the Bertha."

11 December 1922
PARIS ...
The hotel of Bertha, 1 rue Darcet (XVII) on the corner of Boulevard des Batignolles.
Georges Simenon stayed in this hotel

"I rose to Barbès-Rochechouart, where I fell on the hotel which seemed shady ... In fact it was still more expensive than what I could save. I continued to advance along the boulevards Montmartre and, finally, place Clichy, I slant to the Batignolles, and I found a small hotel called "Hotel de la Bertha" and who had very good mine ... "

Georges Simenon / interview with Roger Stéphane, "Portrait Souvenir"
RTF / J. Tallandier, 1963, pp. 69-70.
